Postdoctoral position on the Inventive Use of Mathematics
A post doctoral position is available on a NSF project studying how mathematical knowledge is learned and then used in inventive ways. Candidates with a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, computer science, or related fields are encouraged to apply. The project has taken many approaches to this question including behavioral studies, neural imaging, and computational modeling. The involvement of the post doc in this position will depend on their strengths, interests, and what they want to lean. The position has funding for at least 2 years.
Interested candidates should send inquiries and applications (CV, research interests, references) to John Anderson (ja@cmu.edu).
